Striking similarities in the way each of the victims is murdered has been noticed. Some people say they have seen flashes of red, a person in a red cape like Little Red Riding Hood. Student Peter Bloom begins an investigation to uncover the killer's identity. While he is trying to solve the mystery, other students are murdered on campus. His search finds Peter thrust into a fairytale world full of nightmares and a disturbing history. As Peter closes in on the killer, his own fate is uncertain.
